How to wear it, week 1

This morning I slept in and finally got out of bed at 10:25 and felt AWESOME. So I go upstairs and got my cup of coffee. I turn around to see my sister Piper watching some show on Disney Channel and I saw this guy in a ugly shir similar to the one on the right. So I thought to myself "Somebody does NAWT know how to wear that shirt." Thus leading to "How to wear it." I will post a new how to wear it every week. Sometimes it’ll be for guys, sometime for girls, and like today, both.
This weeks focus is short sleeve plaid button downs.
Guys-
The rules-
Choose a shirt with bright colors and a light fabric.
Try to match only one color on your shirt to a pair of shoes that you own.
The shoes have to be street shoes (D.C., Supras, Converse, One Star, etc, etc)
    Keep shirt untucked and buttoned
How to wear it-

Layer shirt with a dark draw sting hoodie. (unzipped.)
Pair with loose, dark denim skinny jeans
Shoes should be bright and if poss, tuck jeans into shoes.
Accessories-

(if have earrings) - diamond studs.
Brightly colored plastic watch (matched with shoes)
Girls-
The rules-
    Leave shirt unbuttoned
    Pastel colors
    Light fabric
How to wear it-
There are two ways to wear it for girls
First way- (jeans)

Layer shirt with a dark grey or charcoal long sleeve shirt.
Pair with any jeans
Strappy peep-toe wedges. Does not have to match any color on your shirt. I would actually recommend wearing color that you aren’t already wearing.
Second way-(skirt)

Tuck both shirts loosely into a highwaisted skirt. (preferably a gathered skirt or even a layered skirt.) Finish with black stilettos or black pumps.

turn ons and turn offs

So inspired by my last blog, I decided to make a list of turn offs and turn ons-
Offs-

  • Sleeve tattoos
  • Being overly buff. Zak and Shemar or the only exceptions.
  • Sweat
  • Overly dressy sense of style. I like the tee shirt and jeans, with the occasional hoodies or leather jacket. Let the girl be the dressy one.
  • When a guys hair is longer than mine.
  • Facial hair. Adam and Shemar are the only exceptions.
  • When guys wear clothes that don’t compliment them. (color wise. If you have green eyes, wear a red or purple shirt to compliment them or find a shirt THE EXACT SAME COLOR If it’s not the exact same, it doesn’t have the same affect.)
  • When they try too hard. If they say they like a band and the girls like “nah, I like ______” and the guys says “oh, yeah I didn’t even like them as much as I like what ever the girl said."
  • Mandals
  • Socks and sandals
  • Bad breath
  • Yellow teeth
  • Overly tan.
  • When a guy always tries to tell me what I want. Just back up and let me do my thing. (Sadly that seems to be every guy at my school, other than my great guy BFFs who understand me, so I avoid those guys.)
  • greasy hair
And here’s my list of the opposite-
  • Bieber hair
  • A natural sense of style. Again, just a tee and jeans.
  • When guys play with their hair. (flipping if it’s Bieber hair, running there fingers through it if they have Zak Bagans’ hair.)
  • Musicians. Sadly none of the guys in the eighth grade (of 2011-2012) band are guys that I have crushes on.
  • When they’re taller than me (which doesn’t happen often, so I also like guys who are shorter than me. Just as long as they’re tall enough to be able to touch my shoulder when I’m wearing heels.)
  • When a guy lets me do what I want and doesn’t try to tell me what he thinks I want.
  • When a guy understands me when I don’t even understand me. (sadly this is all of my guy friends so you get why that doesn’t work…..)
  • When they ask questions, but you know that they’re asking questions because they really care not just because they tell me they care but don’t.
  • When they get along with my family. THAT IS KEY. I have a huge family (no secret there) and if one person isn’t happy then… guys come and go, but family will always be there, even if you think they aren’t.
  • Skater boys! (who doesnt love 'em?!)
  • perfect teeth (and I mean DAMN perfect. But if there a little off, than I dont care.)
  • sculpted facial features
  • guys who arnt afriad to dance
  • guys who know what they want and do their own thing, no matter what other people think or say.
  • guys who love music just as much as I do. Music haters are deal breakers :p
quote- You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy (THAT'S MY MAN!), the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, and Germany doesn't want to go to war.- unknown
song- Bottoms up- Trey Songz ft Nicki Minaj
celeb- Keke Palmer. (I literally just watched a movie, Joyfull Noise, with her in it and that girl can sing!
word- Swankified (another word that my friends came up with!)

restictions and even more changes

So lately I haven’t tanned according to plan at all this summer. I tanned a little this last Friday at the pool in Menomonie. Well it wasn’t really a tan…. It was a sunburn that faded into a tan. I also tanned a little bit on Saturday afternoon because I was outside for most of the party, but it doesn’t count because it’s a farmers tan :p. And it doesn’t look like I’ll be doing it for the rest of the week either since it’s supposed to rain and storm until Saturday. My goodness.
So on to the positive stuff-
Earlier today, at like 9:00 am my little brother Riley and little sisters Zoey and Piper went to my step dad, Dan’s, parents house until Saturday. (this can also be a sad thing sense that’s when it’s supposes to be nice for tanning and I wont be able to do it in peace since the kids will be back.) so the house belongs to me, my mom, and my baby brother Xavier.
Another good thing is that I thought of doing a top twenty list once every month. The best part of the list is that it can be about anything- movies, styles, colors, etc etc.
So for the month of June, my list will be about styles and movies-
(movies-)

  1. The Corpse Bride (my favorite movie sense I was like eight.)
  2. Van Helsing the Vampire Slayer
  3. 8 mile
  4. New Years Eve
  5. Romeo and Juilet (1968 version)
  6. Edward Scissorhands
  7. 17 again
  8. The Blind Side
  9. The House Bunny
  10. Stomp the Yard
(styles-)
  1. Wedges (the strappier the better. And if they don’t have an open toe, I‘ll dump them faster than Kim dumped Kris)
  2. Metalics (my favorite is platinum)
  3. Sleeveless tops and dresses
  4. Ripped jeans (the more frayed the better.)
  5. Layered skirts
  6. Glossy purses
  7. Halter tops
  8. Fitted Hoodies
  9. Anklets
  10. Charm bracelets

Word- glossy (I LOVE saying that word!)

today, yesterday, and some other days and nights...

OK, so I never really told you guys about all the fun stuff that happened Saturday night/early Sunday morning.
My personal favorite thing that happened was rapping. So we were all sitting around the fire at like 11:00 p.m. listening to some music that my brothers girlfriend burned on a CD and an Eminem song came on. It was called “Without Me” and you guys know how much I love that song and Eminem. So somebody started rapping the song, and then I started and eventually so did all the other people who knew the song. I was the best rapper because everyone else was drunk and I had memorized that song a month ago.
My second favorite thing that happened was watching/listening to the drunk people talk/walk. Some pretty insane and entertaining things were said and done. Somebody had the great idea to fire up the karaoke machine and I really wished that my phones battery hadn’t died so that I could’ve recorded it.
My brother was so drunk, he threw his shirt in the fire and you guys should have heard him laughing! I have never heard him laugh like that before. After awhile both of my brothers were play wrestling on the gravel driveway and they got pretty scrapped up and dirty. It ended in both of them telling each other that they love each other and hugging it out.
So yea I had a great time!

Today went by so fast! I was still tired from the night/early morning before and I stayed up until about 12:30 am last night watching a movie called New Years Eve and to be honest, I sobbed. My make up was running down my face and I never washed it off, so it’s still there. I cried for like four different reasons-
  1. One of the characters dad died and it was really sad and I cant explain it, you just have to watch the movie, it was just really sentimental and emotional.
  2. A teenage girl caught her crush kissing another girl, and I can relate. It totally hit home and only made me cry harder.
  3. Another one of the characters’ husband was in Afghanistan and, again, it’s hard to explain because it’s so sentimental and emotional and you just have to watch it to understand.
  4. ZAC EFRON WAS KISSING ANOTHER GIRL THAT WAS NAWT ME AND WAS TWICE HIS AGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
So anyways, I was still tired from Saturday/Sunday and then I stayed up late so I slept until ten (FINALLY) and I lay in bed for like another hour and than I went up stairs, not fully awake yet, and just sat on the couch. Suddenly it’s 11:53. And now it’s 12:20, so today just keeps going, with or without me I guess.

PAR-TAY!

The party was so much fun last night/early this morning! Everyone was wasted and just having a great time! It was pretty funny just listening to the hammered people talk to each other. I learned SOOOO many things! -
There are several types of drunks-
  • The mean (there wasn’t too many of them, only one and we all gladly kicked her out. Well, her son gave a her a ride home, and he was only a little buzzed so it was safe.)
  • The emotional
  • The funny
  • The quiet
  • The person who suddenly thinks that he/she’s a stunt man/woman.
  • The physical (they’re usually giving people hugs, wrapping their arms around people, wrestling, etc, etc,)
  • the people who have no "shut-up" filter in their head and say whatever comes to mind
  • the people who couldn't stand up to save themselves
  • the people who say the most random things that have nothing to do with what is going on
  • the people who repeat themselves and the other people
  • the people who swear everyother word
  • the people who talk like their tongue was cut off
  • Any combination of the above (aka my father.)
Other things that I learned that don’t really have a category-
  • If you tell your dad that your not going to raise hell tonight he will call you a quitter (in all seriousness and soberness).
  • Takes one careless match to start a forest fire, but when your hammered it takes a whole box to start a campfire.
  • The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.
  • If you can stay calm while all around you is chaos, then you probably haven't completely understood the situation.
  • There are three kinds of people: The ones who learn by reading. The ones who learn by observation. And the rest of them who have to touch the fire to learn it's hot. (looking at my brothers as I say this!)
  • At every party there are two kinds of people: those who want to go home and those who don't. The problem is, they are usually married to each other.
  • “One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.”
  • It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to prank your neighbor, that's the time to do it.
  • How many men does it take to open a beer? None, because they expect that it’s open by the time she( in this case, my step mom) gets it to him.
  • If you are not committing any sins, you are probably not having a lot of fun.
  • If you drink a lot of REALLY cold water your teeth are gonna hurt.
  • I’m addicted to water the way other people are addicted to alcohol.
  • It doesn’t matter how much alcohol you drink, what matters is how well you can hold it down.
  • When the Tyrrell’s throw a party, THEY THROW A PARTY

Look at all the stuff I learned!! Who needs school when you can just party with my family!?
We didn’t get to bed until 2:30 and I slept like a rock, which was good because I slept through the sound of everyone else’s’ puking and snoring. No more parties for another four years until it’s my turn to graduate! Should be interesting! :D

doing okay....

I still haven’t tanned because I babysat yesterday AGAIN and then my mom dropped a bomb shell on me- I have to baby-sit every Monday and Tuesday. That’s not too bad but the kids usually go to day care so I had planned some things with some people that I had to re-schedule. And knowing teens, re-scheduling something is like trying to find something in the dark. It seems like a miracle when two teens are both free on the same day. And it looks like I won’t be able to tan today either because it’s going to rain.
But on the plus side-

  • I’m eating sour skittles!
  • My brother’s graduation party is this Saturday
  • I went to the library and got a Christina Aguilera CD that’s next to impossible to find and mom said that there’s a way to transfer the songs on the CD to my Ipod :D (remember yesterday’s post, and the second post of the day had Christina Aguilera song, Fighter? It’s on this CD.)
  • After she told me THAT I got like five more
So today wasn’t ALL bad. And it’s only noon! Yesterday my boredom was so sever that I decided to have a Eminem music video marathon. Yes, my boredom had driven me to that point. But in my defense, at least I watched Eminem instead of like Moby. But I think I’d shoot myself before I listen to Moby independently. Eminem would agree with me on that one!
My mom just dared me to like the sour dust at the bottom of the skittles bag. It was like drinking straight up lemon juice. I don’t think I’ll do that again…not today anyways ;D. I love my mom! She’s pretty awesome!

teeth, lashes, and lips

So a few things that people have complimented me on are my lashes, lips, and teeth. People have even asked me if I wear glue on lashes and they ask if I have my teeth whitened. So sense my blog is now public (:D) I told them to check it out and that I would let them know when I posted this tutorial.
Lashes- the secret to healthy, thick, strong, lashes is moisturizing and a little help from your eyelash curler and mascara. The only things you’ll need are-

Vaseline (or petroleum jelly)
Eyelash curler
Mascara (any kind)
Before you go to bed (every night)
Take a little Vaseline on the pad of your index finger and warm it up by rubbing that finger with you thumb.
Apply Vaseline from lash line to crease and crease to brow bone.
Apply to lashes like you would with mascara- from root tip
Apply on the outer corner of your eyes to prevent wrinkles (bonus points!)
With whatever is left, apply under your eyes and get as close to your lashes as possible.
Repeat on other eye
Make sure you don’t have any make up on, otherwise your lashes and skin wont be able to absorb the Vaseline.
The next morning-
    (Follow usual make-up routine)
  1. BEFORE you put on mascara (BEFORE!!!!) , curl your lashes three times- once as close to the roots as poss, in the middle, and the very tip.
  2. When applying mascara start at the roots and wiggle the brush.
  3. take an eyelash brush and spread out the mascara that is already on your lashes. apply a second coat of mascara before the first coat dries. Otherwise, your lashes could clump. If you don’t have a mascara brush, than you can just wipe off the excess mascara off of the wand on a piece of toilet paper and spread out the mascara already on your lashes.
  4. Add a second coat from just root to tip- no wiggling or wiping.
      1.
Apply mascara AFTER you curl your lashes. The reason I stress this is because if you put on mascara before you curl your lashes, you could rip them out.
Lips- like lashes, the secret to plush and healthy lips is moisturizing. The things that you’ll need are-
Vaseline
A toothbrush
Chap stick (mine’s cherry!)
Warm water
Take your toothbrush
Run it under warm water
Add a small amount of Vaseline to the brush
Gently brush your lips for a minute
Finish with a layer of chap stick. I like to go back and forth ten times on both lips.
Teeth- my secret to white teeth is commonly found in your kitchen cabinet. The things that you’ll need-
    Baking soda
    Warm water
    Mouth wash
    Tooth brush
    Tooth paste
    Floss

  • Brush, floss, and rinse your teeth/mouth every day, twice a day.
  • For two weeks, choose two days out of both weeks (I do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays) to do the following-
  • Mix a ½ tsp of baking soda with a ½ tsp of warm water
  • Brush for two minutes
  • Don’t eat or drink anything (other than water) for an hour to two hours
  • Be careful! The first two times I did the baking soda scrub I irritated my gums to the point where even if I just licked them, they would start to sting. Then I realized that it was because when I brush my teeth I get really aggressive with my gums so I don’t get build up there. Don’t do that with the baking soda. It hurts pretty badly.
Quote- Some people come into our life and leave footprint on our hearts. And then there are the people that make us want to leave footprints all over their face. - unknown.
Song- cold by aqualung and Lucy Schwartz. Actually, I’m gonna do two songs- Fighter by Christina Aguilera (I’m listening to it right now!)
    Celeb- Akon
Word- poss (short for possible or possibly. Your choice!)

the last full day of eight grade

Today is the last full day of eight grade! I don’t know if I want to cry or smile! So much CONFLICTION!!!!! The last time I felt this conflicted was when there was a glee marathon on AND the MTV music awards both on at the same time. God just loves to see what I do huh? So today was really bitter-sweet. All of the teachers were saying good bye, and there was one that I couldn’t care less about, one that I was glad I wasn’t going to see anymore, and four that I’m going to miss like CRAZY! (and yes, Ms. P, you’re one of the four!) Tomorrow is going to be really bitter-sweet too! I’m wearing a REALLY cute outfit, but like I said it’s the last day of school, so yea. But I swore to myself, I’m not going to do what I did last summer. Last summer, I was babysitting THE WHOLE TIME and didn’t see my friends NEARLY enough. Can’t you just tell how emotional I am just by looking at my all caps in some areas? J
Another good thing today is that I updated my Ipod play list! Here’s the updated version sorted by genre-(some songs fall into two categories)

Country/pop mix- (one being my favorite in this genre)
Gun powder and lead- Miranda Lambert
    Before he cheats- Carrie Underwood
    Cowboy Casanova- Carrie Underwood
    Just a dream- Carrie Underwood
The house that built me- Miranda Lambert
    All-American Girl- Carrie Underwood
    Pop-
    Wide Awake- Katy Perry
Payphone- Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa
    Piece of me- Britney Spears
Part of me- Katy Perry (I listening to it right now!)
Turn up the music- Chris Brown
    Scream- Usher
    Smack that- Akon and Eminem
Call me maybe- Carly Ray Jepsen
    Rap-
Numb/Encore- Jay Z and Linkin Park
Payphone- Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa
You don’t know- 50 Cent, Eminem, Cashi$, Lloyd Banks
    Smack that- Akon and Eminem
    Not afraid- Eminem
    The real slim shady- Eminem
    Beautiful- Eminem
    Space Bound- Eminem
    Starships- Nicki Minaj
So as you can see, I have a large span of musical tastes. Lots of different genres! The reason why I sorted them by genre is because otherwise it was too hard to place the songs, according to what I liked best. Not to mention to show you my range in genres.
