Some people's kids.....

I seriously dislike some people. I literally just found out that one of my best friends was racially discriminated on December 13th. I'm not gonna get into detail about it, but if the person who had done this was MY kid, I'd disown them. And than people say that she was 'overreacting' to a 'little joke'. Wow. Those people can get suspended too. All I wanted to say was to leave people alone, okay? Doesn't matter what color or race they are. And it doesn't have to be just race, either. Just accept everyone, okay?

quote- Make fun of me? I can handle it. Make fun of my best friend? Run, bitch.- relatable teenage post

Upcoming movies

Before I get into this, here's a link to one of my new fav songs :) It made me smh (but with a smile) the first time I heard it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f69pkpRD_Dg
If you like that song, you should check out these ones too- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBbrqgiTuuos and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp0o3xjmHnQ
(^^This one used to be my ringtone^^)

Warm bodies- So I saw a trailer for this when I went to go see "Breaking Dawn part 2" with my friend Lindsey and as soon as trailer ended, we both looked at each other and said "WE GOTTA SEE THAT MOVIE!" (but since we were in a movie theatre we had to whisper it. I just put it in caps to show you guys how excited we were. Caps changes everything :D) Anyways, so Warm bodies is set into a time where the world has gone into a zombie apocalypse. There's a zombie named 'R' who falls in love with the girlfriend of one his victims. Sounds pretty good to meh! Warm bodies premiers February 1st, 2013 and I can't wait to go see it with Lindsey! Here's a link to the official trailer-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ3ZwtyKs_o

A Haunted House- I don't really care for scary movies, unless there classic ones like Frankenstein, Young Frankenstein, or Dracula. In other words: if they're black and white and older than my parents; I LIKE 'EM! I think my father and stepmother have forever ruined horror movies for me.  When I was six, they let me watch The Ring. Um, yeaaaaaah, you don't let your SIX YEAR OLD daughter, watch a movie like 'The Ring' and just expect her to go to bed without a problem. But it's okay. I made their lives hell for it :) Seriously you guys, I was freaked out about that movie until I was nine. But anyways, I love the "Scary Movie" series (Except for Scary Movie 3. If you haven't seen Scary Movie 3, it's a parody of The Ring, Signs, Children of the Corn, and probably others that I didn't pick up on.) So when I saw the commercial for "A Haunted House" I knew right away that it was perfect for me! It's about these people that move into their dream house, but only to find out that a demon also lives there. When the wife, Keisha, becomes possessed, her husband, Malcolm, hires a priest, a psychic, and a team of ghost-busters to help out. Here's a link to the official trailer- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VoiD8Fr_SU
If you watched the trailer (^^) than you can see why I'd be okay with seeing it :) It premieres January 11th, but I'll probably just wait for it to come out and have a few friends over to watch it on DIRECTV.

So what's been up? Well today I was supposed to work all day on my history project, but ended up sleeping in until 1:00 in the afternoon. I felt pretty accomplished :) I knew right away that my entire day was gonna be thrown off. And it was. So I didn't get any work done today. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow! But now I cant fall asleep (it's like, 12:20 am) so I'm just killing time by looking at the stock of stores that my friend, Emily, and I are gonna hit on Monday. And updating obviously.

In one of my other posts (I think it was 'my interesting night') I mentioned that my friend Emily (the one from band, and the one I'm going shopping with on Monday) is over this guy. She started liking him in July. (I started liking him a month later) At first, I didn't think I actually liked him, I just liked the fact that my best friend liked him and how that made him off-limits to me. So he wasn't really relevant to me, at first, and I didn't over think it. (I've always been the type to 'like what you can't have.' But it's not totally overboard. Mainly just guys who are like 30, or married, or dating someone. It's not like I'm gonna do something about it, such as kill his wife or girlfriend or anything. It 100% innocent, I swear.) But I think I actually started to like him on my own terms. But as long as she was liking him, there wasn't a thing I was gonna do about it. My friendship with Emily means a lot more to me than any guy ever would/will. That goes for all my friends. So when she said to me that she was over him (and had started crushing on his hot, younger cousin) I knew that it was time to find out if I really liked this guy on my own terms. And I think I actually do. So....yay? I just think it's really funny how she now likes his younger cousin :)

quote- text convo I found on tumblr-

person 2- twinkle twinkle, little star,

eggs!

For me, one of the most annoying things in the world are my acne scars. I don't have any really bad ones, but the little dark dots are still really annoying. The reason why it's so hard to get rid of acne scars, is because the scar is under your skin. There are two layers to your skin- the epidermis (the thin, top layer where pore ducts travel to the surface of your skin) and the dermis (the thick, bottom layer where all your pores are.) All acne is connected to the dermis, so when you pick at it, the nerves in the dermis are 'woken up'.This is why some acne hurts and is really sensitive. So the dermis' way to protect it's self from you picking at you acne, is to harden and form a lump which cases discoloration that is visible from your top layer of skin. I tried targeted discoloration correctors but they didn't work until I tried this little method-

Lately, I've been experimenting with things from my fridge to make facial masks. One of my favorites, were eggs. As many people know, eggs are FULL of protein! One large egg has about 6.2 grams of protein. But what most people DON'T know, is that your skin is also made up of protein. Appling egg white's to your face will help repair tissue and dry skin, making your skin soft and moist. It's also works to repair acne scars and minimizes pores and wrinkles. Egg yokes are also good for keeping your skin tight, soft, and moist.

What you'll need-
  • one egg
  • two bowls
  • a fork
  • towel
  • warm water
  • anything that you need to hold your hair back
  • toilet paper
  • a light moisturizer (preferably with a discoloration corrector)
What to do-
  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. You don't want the fatty acids and the amino acids that are on your hands to get on you face because they can cause breakouts. That's why I'm super stick about applying anything to your face with a brush, if possible
  • Crack open the egg
  • Separate the whites from the yolk, putting the whites in bowl one, and the yoke in bowl two
  • beat the yoke with a fork until there are small bubbles. (you don't want it to get too frothy)
  • protect your hair with headbands, bobby pins, hair ties etc. etc.
  • apply yolk to face with fingers
  • leave for ten minutes
  • wash off with warm water
  • beat egg whites with fork until there are small bubbles (again, you don't want it to get too frothy)
  • apply to face with fingers
  • layer toilet paper over the egg whites, ripping off excess as you go.
  • let mask sit for a half hour
  • peel off
  • rinse with warm water
  • apply a thin layer of moisturizer
Before you buy a moisturizer, you need to understand your skin type first. If your skin is like mine, with slight discoloration, slightly oily, and non-sensitive, you can go ahead and use moisturizers with sulfuric acids. But if you have very delicate and sensitive skin, avoid ANYTHING with sulfuric acid. (not just moisturizers, but soaps, facial masks, scrubs, lotions, etc. etc.)  If you have sensitive skin, look for a natural moisturizer. Anything with 'avocado' or 'honey' listed as an ingredient is good.

What I've been up to and I will be up to!

Just to give you guys an idea of what the holiday season was like for me, here are some bullets to highlight some events that went down-
  • Friday- End of the world party with my friends, Emily and Hanna. I also got my little 'gift' from mother nature. Frickin awesome -__- (what was kinda funny but disgusting at the same time, was when I realized what was going on, I was listening to 'bleeding out' by imagine dragons. That song will never be the same again, even though it's AMAZING)
  • Saturday- Slept. All day.
  • Sunday- Christmas party at my dads house with my older siblings, stepmother, and niece.
  • Monday- Christmas party with the rest of my dads side of the family (I'll get into detail about that later :D That deserves it's own post)
  • Monday (part 2)- Christmas party with my moms side of the family.
  • Tuesday- Christmas dinner at my grandmothers house
  • Wednesday- Babysitting (just finished that a few minutes ago) than in a few hours I'll be leaving to hang out with my cousin and spend the night at her house.
  • Thursday- I plan on sleeping. All day.
  • Friday- Babysitting. Again. Than sleeping the rest of the day. (I haven't been sleeping a lot lately because I've had three huge projects. I even pulled my first all-nighter just to finish my PowerPoint for science. It was more of just a 'for the hell of it' type thing, not because I actually needed the extra time. I'll get into more detail about it later.)
  • Saturday- Work all day on my history project (like I said, I'll get into more detail about that later)
  • Sunday- Sleep all day and when I'm done, I'll sleep some more.
  • Monday- Shopping all day in Woodbury with my friend Emily
  • Monday (part 2)- my stepdads parents are coming over and are gonna spend the night
  • Monday (part 3)- New Years Eve party at my friend Kayla's
  • Tuesday- finish up on project for history and get everything else ready for school the next day
  • Wednesday- Give a kick ass presentation in history :)
  • Thursday- pep band for...something. Girls hockey I think
  • Friday- pep band for boys basketball (before that my friend Emily and I are going shopping on main street. Probably not gonna really be anything but it'll give us something to do)
  • Saturday-NOTHING! <3
  • Sunday- homework >:p

So about my project- It was called 'the famous scientist project' and I had chosen Henry Faulds as my scientist (he discovered the fingerprint). Now, the whole project was combined in three of my classes- history, science, and English. I had to write a paper for English, and make a PowerPoint in history and another PowerPoint for science (which is really weird, since it's the same information, same criteria, but they make you put it on a different PowerPoint and they'll fail you if you just copy paste all your info) Originally, the project were supposed to all be due before break. Mr. N, my history teacher, ended up changing the due date to the Monday AFTER we get back from break. No big deal right? If anything that's awesome! But than on the last day of school (when all the papers and other PowerPoints had all been presented and turned in) before break he tells our class that he decided to change the due date. He said he wasn't sure what he was gonna change it to, but to check his website later than night to find out when. So while I was at Emily's we checked out his website and it said that the due date was THE DAY we get back from break. Now, the thing is, we got a TON of work time in both science and English and we got rubrics and syllabus' for what we were supposed to do. Now in History we didn't have any work time and he never gave us a rubric and never talked to us about it. I really hate that teacher. Love the subject, hate the teacher. I actually used to like him until I realized how much of a bad teacher he is. And he wonders why most people have dropped that class and started taking an online course. That sounds a lot better than putting up with him for 45 minutes

quote- A sober Irish man walks out of a bar............said no one ever- unknown
song- bleeding out- Imagine Dragons (probably one of their best songs)
word- holidays
celeb- Florence Welch (one of the best singers EVER)

Christmas break

So today, I'm gonna be having my first of many Christmas'. This one will probably be my favorite because I'll get to see my older siblings! I don't get to see them a lot because some of them are in college and the others have lives of their own. I'll also get to see my niece!!!! So yeah, today will be fun :) Than tomorrow I'll be seeing most of my family on my dad's side and these people have a crimimal record for partying. So THAT'LL be FUN.  Immediatly after that, I'm gonna be going to see my mom's side of the family for christmas. That probably won't be as fun, but still great. And than break will just be pretty chill until New Years Eve when I go shopping and than to a party, with a two hour interval inbetween to go back home and chill with my stepdad's side of the family. So Merry Chirstmas, stay safe, and have fun!
oh, Grumpy cat c:

My interesting night

So as you guys know, the world was supposed to end yesterday. That was so stupid. I think the Mayans just needed a bigger rock. But my friends church was having a bonfire/party to 'celebrate' and my friend asked me if I wanted to go and I did. She also brought along one of my other friends. Now early in the week, my mom told me that I might have to babysit at around eight. She meant eight o'clock Friday, but I thought she was talking about on Saturday. Neither of us came right out and said what we were thinking, so come Friday night, both of us were confused. My phone battery was dying so I though I'd turn it off so that their would still be battery life if my mom called me Saturday and said she needed me to come home and babysit. Than she called me Friday night because I wasn't answering her texts about me not having to babysit that night. And called me. And called me. So she drove to my friends house to check up on me and no one was home because we were all at the church. (About that-My friend goes to a Lutheran church, and even though I'm Lutheran, I go to a baptist church. I don't really know why) so she somehow got my friends phone number, called that, and told her to me on. She was obviously REALLY mad and scared so I got an earful. Apparently she thought I was going to some drug-party and was worried that I was turning into my cousin. That hurt. I really thought that my parents trusted me not to become like my pole-dancing, drug-taking, alchohol-addicted cousin. ( I think that it's kinda funny that my mom thought I was at some crazy party when I was really at a church. Polar oppisites much?) Anyways, so on New Years Eve I was supposed to go to a party and before than I was supposed to go shopping with my other friend. Well that got the chopping block. I didn't argue with my mom because I knew it could've been SO much worse. Anyways, so I came home today and I talked to my mom about it now that she's calmed down, and we met each other in the middle. I can go shopping and to the party, but from next Tuesday (Christmas day) until the day of the party (new years eve) I'm grounded from my phone. So not too bad :) Anyways, don't get mad at your parents if they freak and blow things out of proportion. Just give them some time to cool off, and than talk to them about it. Talking about it will show them that you're responsible.

Other things that've happened-
  • You guys remember that senior my friend (my friend from band. Just clearling that up) and I had a crush on? We'll she's over him. Now she's crushing on his little cousin who is REALLY hot. Me on the other hand, I'm not sure anymore. I think I'm just gonna try to forget about boys for the rest of break and focus on my friends and family. Maybe my head will clear up over the last few days of the year. Boys can wait til next year ;) ( Crazy that it's almost a new year. That's another thing! I come back to school on Tuesday, January 2nd and my history teacher thought it'd be funny to make a huge project that was originally due a week AFTER we come back, be due the DAY we come back. I really hate that teacher)
  • I have a movie to add to my list of favorites- 'Hannah' It's really good and I think you guys should check it out
  • check out this song! lol -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHpluwP328A

top twenty five for december

Wow I really fell behind in 'top twenty list' to make up for it, I'll add five :)

top fave beauty tips-
  • Making my foundation last- mix a little bit of foundation with a little bit of corn starch. The corn starch will keep your skin dry and oil free, which will keep the foundation from sliding off. Set in with pressed face powder
  • Teeth bleaching- mix a small amount of tooth paste with one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, one teaspoon of baking soda, and one teaspoon of water. Brush for two minutes, twice a week until you've reached your goal. Than continue to brush with mixture once a month
  • newspaper nails- paint nails with a solid color. When dry, soak in alcohol, than cut up little squares of newspaper bigger than your nails. Press newspaper squares to your nails and peel off.
  • making my eyeliner last- apply eyeliner to lower lid, getting in the water line (inner rim of eye), and lash line. Soften the line with a smudge brush or with your fingertips. Set in with a corresponding eyeshadow color.
top fave songs-
  • Don't you worry child- Swedish house Mafia
  • Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites- Skrillex
  • You're gonna go far kid- The Offspring
  • Drop the World- Lil wayne ft Eminem
  • Forever- Drake, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne
  • Devils Night- D12
  • I knew you were trouble- Taylor Swift
  • It's Time- Imagine Dragons
  • Love Drunk- Boys like girls
  • You Don't Know- 50 cent, Eminem, Ca$his, Lloyd Banks
  • This love- Maroon 5
  • Wake up call- Maroon 5
  • Little talks- Of monsters and men
  • Your body- Christina Aguilera
  • Magic- B.O.B
  • Echo- Bad meets evil
Top Fave rappers (it's really sad how many people will actually get this. I told it to my friends and NOT ONE of them understood it)-
  1. Eminem
  2. Slim Shady
  3. Marshal Mathers
  4. B. Rabbit
  5. The white guy from D12
I hope you guys are smart enough to get it c:

These are all my favorite memories that happened last year as an 8th grader-

  • Honors band at the Hudson High School (That was A LOT of fun! The band director for that was so energetic and hilarious)
  • State National History Day (most of my best friends came with me, and I even got an award)
  • Almost everything that happened in all my Advanced Classes. (All of my best friends were in my advanced classes with me)
  • Revisiting my ex-boyfriend (now my best friend) Justin at his house in Bemidji (Where my aunt and uncle live!)
  • My youngest older brothers graduation party
  • Art class <3
  • My first concert!
so as you can see, I had a lot of fun last year! There was more that happened, but it would need A LOT of explaining. Lot of stuff that happened with boys last year, but I don't kiss and tell ;)

color charts

Makeup was designed to compliment and highlight facial monuments. But if you use the wrong color, it could do the exact oppisite. So here are some color charts according to natural colors

lips (according to natural color of lips)-

pale lips (like me!): beige, sandy pink, light coral, pale pink, bright red

medium lips: brown, rose, pink, orange (be careful with this one....), warm red

dark lips: brown, deep red, plum, deep chocolate, deep raisin, berries

two tones lips: chocolate, blackberry, deep plum, deep raisin, and deep red

eyeshadow (according to eye color)-

blue- ash, taupe, gray, heather, slate, lilac, orange (depending on the color blue and the color orange. If both of the colors are the right shade, it could make a huge statement. Orange and blue are natural compliments to each other)

green- yellow-toned beige, camel, heather, moss, slate, taupe, (even though red and green compliment each other, I woudn't recommend it. Green eyes have natural gold and brown flecks in them, which will cancel out the compliment)

brown (like me!)- cement, sable, mocha, khaki, stone, bark

*statement colors like purple and candy blue look good with just about any eye color*

eyebrow (according to hair color)-

blond- ash blond, soft grey

light brown- sable, light brown,

red- ash blond, camel

brunette (i'm a natural black-haired girl, but I dyed my hair brown with a blond peek-a-boo)- mahogany, warm brown

black (like me!) - darkest brown, mocha, dark gray (not black. It'll look flat and fake with the actual color of your brows)

grey- slate, gray

white- grey, ash blond

quote- rain rain go away, that's what all my haters say- waka flocka flames; no hands

song- blown away- Carrie Underwood (i get really bad goose bumps and chills when I listen to this song)

celeb- Charles Woodson (the hottest football player EVER. He's gonna kill the bears today c:)

word- beauty

OK, so all of my friends think that i'm a bears fan now because I borrowed my Uncle's bears hat ONE DAY for marching band cuz it was frickin COLD. Now I'm gonna clear it up- I am NOT a bears fan. I am a packers fan. So there :)

Makeup experation dates and apply tips

Hey guys! Guess what? I'M STILL ALIVE! I've been crazy busy lately, but now I actually have time to update y'all!
Anyways, so over the last few months my make-up routine has changed. Drastically. I'll go over it more later so look forward to that, but right now, I've got something else to talk to you guys about. So recently my friend got a really bad infection from her mascara because she kept it too long. I though everyone knew when to get rid of their make-up but I guess not. So here's some bullets to show you when to get rid of your makeup to avoid infection-

  • Liquid/cream foundation- 2 years (I have yet to make my foundation last that long...)
  • concealer- 2 years (again, never made my concealer last that long)
  • Powder- 2 years (not even gonna say it this time ^^)
  • Mascara- 6 months
  • lipstick- 12 to 18 months
  • lip/eye liner- 12 to 18 months
  • eye shadow- 2 years
  • powder/cream blush- 2 years
  • moisturizer- 2 years
  • eye cream (correcter)- 6 months
  • sunscreen- 2 years ( I don't actually wear sunscreen all year, just in the summer. My foundation, BB cream, and concealer all have SPF in them. In the fall, spring, and winter, I use a non scented lotion with SPF 15 for the rest of my body. Wearing SPF will prevent your skin from discoloration and keep it moist and soft)
  • face cream (BB cream, AA cream, CC cream; etc etc)- 2 years
Most of this stuff I don't have to worry about because some of these products don't last me as long as they apparently should. But now you guys know!

Another thing that I want to go over, is brushes. You know when you buy things like blush (pressed) and eye shadow, and they have those lil brushes with 'em? Get rid of 'em. They weren't designed to apply makeup, that's why brushes are especially made for some products. You should be able to find brushes in the makeup aisle.

applying concealer- NEVER under ANY circumstances should you EVER put concealer over a blemish. People drive me up the wall when they put concealer on a blemish. NO NO NO! Concealer wasn't meant to cover up a blemish. It was designed to correct discoloration under your eyes. It's not heavy enough to cover a blemish, and after a few hours it'll start to melt, and actually highlight your blemish. So don't do it.

applying foundation and other face creams- I cringe everytime I see someone apply foundation and face creams such as BB cream with their fingers. When you apply foundation with your fingers, you mix it with all the amino and fatty acids on your hands that can cause breakouts. Use brushes!!!!!!!! Or makeup sponges. (I call them makeup cakes c:) I'd perfer to use brushes over sponges because sponges soak up a lot of your foundation, which wastes a lot of it. But brushes are designed to absorb as little as possible, and only absorb enough so that your makeup doesnt cake.
