- I literally stumbled across this show last Friday March 23 called “Ghost Adventures” and one of the main paranormal investigators on the show, Zak Bagans, is super hawt! (so now we can say that I have five celebrity crushes instead of fourJ )
- It’s CREEPY! (paranormal studies, not the show, although I almost peed watching one of the episodes and I can honestly say that it wasn’t because I was laughing)There for, it was a given that I’m was going to be attracted to it.
It’s hard to say what it is about creepy things that I’m so drawn to. Maybe its not the creepy things themselves, but…. wow I really don’t know how to word this. Maybe… proving that there is an afterlife, somewhere between Earth and religious beliefs. Or maybe it’s just the thrill of investigating.
If you know me well enough, than you probably know that the hunger of investigation has flowed from one generation to the next in my family, and it was only a short matter of time before I would join the ranks. Actually I already have, as you can see in the first real paragraph when I mention my future career interests.
There’s some sort of thrill I get from watching “Ghost Adventures”, and I’m positive that a good majority of it isn’t because of Zak J (Don't you LOVE how he spells his name? It really matches his look. I always wanted an emo boyfriend....). The EVP sessions make me shake uncontrollably. Disembodied voices run through my head long after the show has ended, and my brain is just completely whipped at the unexplained noises and moved objects.
I do understand that there is a chance that this show is completely staged, but I do believe in ghosts, and some members of my family have had there own experiences. When ever my siblings and I beg them to relive it with us, you can see the truth and emotion in their eyes as they describe their varying levels of hysteria and emotional shock. All through their story-telling, their spines maintain a stiff ridge, almost as if their bodies were reenacting the momentary paralyzing sensation that they all seemed to have experienced in their own ghost adventures. I personally have not had an experience with a ghost, and if I ever do, I hope that I'm not alone, and that it's not emtionaly scaring.
The only problem is, I don’t know if I can emotionally handle being locked inside a haunted building with a past as dark as my sense of humor, while being possibly split up from the rest of the investigating team, with no lights. There for, don’t think I can seriously consider this as a field I could be capable to remain some what mentally calm, instead of dissolving into hysteria, to work in one day. But as long as I have Zak there to hold my hand, it shouldn't be a problem ;D
